Installation

  • Autodesk Revit 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026
  • Windows 10 or 11
  • .NET Framework 4.8 or later (included with Revit)

Download the latest release from GitHub:

Download Amorphous

Choose the appropriate installer:

  • Website version (.website.msi) - Standard installer (No Admin access required)
  • Autodesk App Store version (.autodesk.msi) - For Autodesk App Store installations (Admin Access required)
  1. Close Revit if it’s currently running
  2. Run the MSI installer - Double-click the downloaded file
  3. Follow the prompts - Accept the license agreement and choose your installation options
  4. Launch Revit - The Amorphous ribbon tab will appear automatically

After installation, open Revit and look for the Amorphous tab in the ribbon. You should see panels for:

  • UI Selection
  • Graphics
  • Section Box Tools
  • View Tools
  • Family Tools
  • Data Tools
  • Settings

The first time you run any Amorphous command, you’ll be prompted to sign in:

  1. Enter your email address and click Send
  2. Check your inbox for a verification email
  3. Click the secure link in the email to verify
  4. The add-in automatically detects verification and activates your account
  1. Make sure you’ve restarted Revit after installation (for Autodesk App store installation)
  2. Check if the add-in is enabled in Revit’s Add-Ins tab (2025+)
  3. Verify the installation completed successfully
  1. Close all Revit instances before installing
  2. For Autodesk App Store version: Ensure you have administrator privileges and try running as Administrator (right-click > Run as administrator)
  3. For Website version: No admin required - if it still fails, check Windows Event Viewer for details

To uninstall Amorphous:

  1. Open Windows Settings > Apps > Apps & features
  2. Search for “Amorphous”
  3. Click Uninstall

Or use the Control Panel:

  1. Open Control Panel > Programs and Features
  2. Find “Amorphous” in the list
  3. Click Uninstall

Amorphous automatically checks for updates when Revit starts. You can also manually check for updates in Settings at any time. When an update is available, it will be downloaded in the background and installed once Revit is closed.

To manually update:

  1. Download the latest installer from GitHub
  2. Run the installer - it will automatically upgrade your existing installation
  3. Restart Revit to use the new version
